Rik is the author of the book The Mentor’s Way, which is the culmination of over 20 years of mentoring training and consulting. During that time, he has trained tens of thousands of mentors and protégés in his techniques designed to help them get the most out of their mentoring experience. His passion for mentoring arises in part from what he has learned from the mentors who have taught him as well as the work he has done with his own protégés. Rik hopes to help individuals and organizations unlock the power the mentoring can deliver for them.

In addition, he is a lecturer in Washington University’s Olin Executive Education program and the department of Organizational Behavior, and was an adjunct faculty member in Saint Louis University’s MBA program. He is a member of the St. Louis-Lambert International Airport Commission, and has served on boards for Chaminade College PreparatorySt. Margaret of Scotland School, and others. Prior to founding Nemanick Leadership Consulting, Rik co-founded and was a principal consultant with The Leadership Effect.
