Modeling Leadership Competence
When devising a leadership strategy for an organization, one of the first questions that needs to be answered is, What do we mean by leadership? When created well, a leadership competency model can sit at the nexus of numerous elements of a leadership strategy, including leader selection, leadership training, and succession planning. However, creating a sustainable leadership model is not something that can be accomplished in a brief meeting. A disciplined process is needed to build a comprehensive model that defines the behaviors required of leaders across levels and situations. In this seminar, Bob Grace and Rik Nemanick will review the best practices in developing leadership competency models based on more than 20 years of consulting on leadership.
